Variation in Micro-Pores during Dynamic Consolidation and Compression of Soft Marine Soil

In this study, to explore the microstructure deformation mechanism of marine soft soil under cyclic loading, we analyzed dynamic properties loading via consolidation compression testing. Then, using Image-Pro Plus (IPP) 6.0 image analysis software, and according test results images from a scanning electron microscope (SEM), determined weakening effect soils different confining pressures, stress ratios, over-consolidation ratios. After compression, pore structure undisturbed tends compact, degree particle fragmentation intensifies, small pores increase, large decrease, become more regular, distribution is directional. Subsequently, for soil, higher consolidated pressure, ratio, greater damage structure, obvious structural exhibited loading.
